What We Believe
Our faith is centered on Jesus Christ — His life, death, and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins. We believe that God’s Word is true, His grace is free, and His love is for all people.

Beliefs & Pillars
Living
Only God can change lives – and He continues to do just that. Being a part of the family of God means that we are on a journey of faith. We call this discipleship. Our discipleship path leads us to think, believe, and act like Jesus. Of course, we are humans, so we often sin, or “miss the mark,” but through repentance and the forgiveness of sins that Jesus offers, we can join Jesus in living a life of love for others.
Sharing
Part of becoming the people God wants us to be is sharing the Good News of salvation with the world around us. We want others to know what we have discovered about God. We can tell others how we have experienced life with Jesus. That is a great gift to them and a great way to nurture our own faith. As we do so, we are also invited to share our material resources with others, providing both practical and spiritual help to those in need.
Growing
The Holy Spirit brings us into a closer relationship with God through weekly Worship (including faithful celebration of the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion), relevant personal and congregational Bible study, personal and corporate prayer, and active involvement in the vibrant life of the church through our various ministry and fellowship opportunities.
Connecting
The Holy Spirit empowers and equips everyone to realize, develop, and use God-given gifts of their time, talents, and financial resources in service to His church and our community. In responding to the Spirit’s prompting, we experience the great joy of becoming all that God wants us to be. This empowering and equipping helps us grow closer to God as we connect with one another in love.
God’s Word
We are Biblical. The Bible is the inspired Word of God that conveys the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ. As the Son of God, Jesus became man to suffer and die in our place, taking our sin upon Himself. This is the heart of the Gospel, and “we preach Christ crucified” (I Corinthians 1:23). The Bible is God’s truth for our lives and the foundation for everything we do.
Being “Lutheran”
Our congregation accepts and preaches the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century.
The teachings of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.

We Believe:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
All men are sinners separated from God, cannot save themselves, and deserve eternal punishment.
Jesus Christ, God’s Son and true God, having also become true man, lived, suffered, and died for the sins of all people, that we need not remain separated from God.
Whoever repents of his sins and accepts by faith Jesus Christ as his Savior has forgiveness of his sins and has eternal life with God.
Therefore, each person is saved from eternal separation from God only by the grace of God Himself, through faith in Jesus Christ.
In response to this loving gift of God, Christians will strive to live holy lives as the fruit of their faith and, together with their fellow Christians in the Church, will serve God and do His work.
We are a member of Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.
